SWISS HERITAGE & CONTINOUS EXCELLENCE

Mouvex 1911 is relaunching timepieces to the modern-day man by combining its rich heritage, watchmaking know-how and Swiss Excellence to life through distinctive watch designs that pay tribute to notable art and design styles from remarkable eras to masterpieces in every form.

THE GENESIS

The Mouvex story began in the famous watchmaker city, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. It was here in the ‘Watch Valley’ that some of the most prestigious Swiss watchmaking brands were founded including Corum, Girard-Perregaux, and Ebel. If you visit today, you will find this region full of watch galleries and museums showcasing famous Swiss watchmaking secrets revealed and masterpieces on display; Mouvex is also part of this, however the location is extremely exclusive for members only.

MOVEMENT BY EXCELLENCE

WORLD-RENOWNED FOUNDERS

The year was 1911 when the two talented Swiss watchmakers of their era Eugène Blum and Alice Levi-Blum launched Mouvex as a watch manufacturer, simultaneously with their other brand Ebel. The main distribution channels at the time were that of chic boutiques in Europe focused on Paris and Switzerland and yet reached the US market. It was in these niche markets that customers highly appreciated the Swiss making excellence and the brand captured admirers and watch collectors.

THE EVOLUTION OF MOUVEX

The Blum founders released collections with Art Deco inspiration due to the architecture of the founding city and Paris which Blum frequently visited. The second half of the 20th century brought many challenges, and efforts were only put on the brand Ebel, while Mouvex would be placed in a state of hibernation until the day that it would be woken up. Today, the brand has begun a new chapter. Welcome to the Mouvex Legacy Chapter.
